MCS students combat loneliness

Writing letters to friends isn’t a thing of the past! Our Year 7-10 students have had the opportunity to join ConnectAu’s The Letterbox Project, writing letters as part of a program to care for the wellbeing of the sender and receiver.

Our Year 7 & 8 girls have been connected with a remote school, exchanging letters with other Aussie students, and our Year 10 cohort has been connected with an aged care facility writing to residents there.

We are excited about how being a part of this project will benefit everyone involved!

The Maitland Mercury interviewed some of our students last week, take a read!
